Join
Michael for a
Special Outdoor Painting Workshop on
Grand Manan Island
June 15-20, 2008

Located just off the New Brunswick coast and easily reached by
a 90-minute ferry ride from Blacks Harbour, Grand Manan Island -- the "Queen of the Fundy
Isles" -- is home to spectacular cliffs, sweeping sand beaches, marshes
and dunes, lighthouses and many working fishing villages and wharfs.
This
five-day workshop will offer locations and subject matter such as:
- Scenic
Seal Cove, with its collection of historic wharf buildings
- the
rugged cliffs of Southern Head
- Swallowtail
Light, which has guided mariners for many years
- the
wharfs and lobster boats of Ingalls Head
- the
salt marshes and dunes of Castaglia Marsh
- the
working herring weirs of North Head
- and
much, much more!

photographs, which you can see here.
The group had a great time last September at this workshop with excellent weather. This year, the workhop is in June, which is off-season. The island will be quiet, but most of the shops and restaurants will have just opened, so there will be plenty to do! |
